Mar Saba Monastery
A study of the Greek Orthodox monastery founded in 483 and built into the limestone cliffs of the Kidron Valley. The side view traces how chapels, cells, walls and towers descend with the terrain, making the monastery's defensive enclosure and extreme adaptation to the landscape visible in one compact silhouette.
